Job Description

SERA has a solid and diverse backlog base, an extremely qualified staff, a strong marketing department and an established clientele. We are seeking a Senior Design Leader in our Portland office to complement our staff resources and reinforce our design capabilities in order to build upon our success into the future.

The candidate we are seeking will have strong marketing/business development skills with a broad range of experience and substantial work for higher education/public/institutional clients. Your portfolio will demonstrate your unique talents and skills in sharing your design philosophy with potential clients.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will be licensed architects with 10+ years of experience. You must have completed projects that demonstrate your ability to conceive and develop design solutions both individually and in highly collaborative setting that range from in-house critiques to multi-day charettes that include clients, consultants and contractors.

Other abilities that must be demonstrated include dynamic presentation skills, hand sketching, solution and process documentation, early massing and conceptualization tools, SketchUp and Revit.

Ability to mentor junior staff and direct the work of other individuals and teams are required. Experience with, and commitment to integrated design practices and sustainability a must.
