Job Description
Our Higher Education Market is at a pivotal point in its growth and has an excellent opportunity for a Lead Designer to join its team of dedicated architects. The successful Designer will be a passionate advocate for sustainable design practices for both private and public Higher Education Institutions. They are willing to take on the challenge of identifying and defining attributes of our design and design process that differentiates BHDP from other market competition. They will continuously seek out and acquire expertise in designing for Higher Education clients, emphasizing the team’s core areas of focus. The Designer will support the Leaders of the Higher Education Market in business development efforts. They will help identify and develop new opportunities and services with the clients’ best interest in mind. They will have the confidence to encourage and, when necessary, respectfully challenge clients to apply our knowledge and understanding of people and their desired experiences.

NOTES:
Additional Salary Information: Salary negotiable with bonus potential.

Requirements
Must have a minimum of 10 years of architectural design experience, with an emphasized expertise in higher education facilities. Preferred project types include Labs, Teaching/Learning Spaces, and Student Life. Must have a professional or masters degree in architecture, architectural registration (NCARB), and must be LEED accredited.
