WRT is seeking a Junior Urban Designer, with 1-3 years of experience and an Urban Designer with 2-6 years of experience to work in our Philadelphia office. The selected candidate (s) will serve as urban designer(s) for campus planning and urban design projects. These individuals will be expected to work both collectively with team members and individually with oversight to analyze and develop planning and design approaches to campuses and districts with an understanding of building components and typologies. Exploring interplay and relationship between built and natural environment that enriches campuses and districts will be a key to this position. This position offers growth potential for a creative problem solver and motivated individual.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's degree in architecture required, graduate degree in planning or urban design or landscape architecture is desired
1 to 3 years of experience working on campus planning and urban design projects
Strong written, graphic, and verbal communications skills
Software Knowledge: AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and MS Office required. GIS, Rhino 3D and Revit a plus.
Ability to complete tasks with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
Knowledge and understanding of space programming and campus building typologies
