Store Designer is responsible for assisting the Director Global Design in supporting and implementing innovative international store design efforts to ensure a consistent and dynamic global brand image.
Conduct a review of proposed franchisee store designs to ensure compliance with brand design standards across all market and store types.
Assist and support franchisees in their design efforts including store planning, site planning, prototype designs and new fixture development.
Contribute in the development of new store design concepts.
Develop design tools for Franchisee use, including AutoCAD plans and SketchUp models.
Independently manage projects such as cabinetry development, signage related development, new products, sustainable components.
Take part in on-line meetings with Domestic and International Franchisees, log and follow through on outstanding items. Note: due to the time difference, occasionally these meetings will be outside regular business hours.
Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited university.
Eight or more years' of store planning experience in the restaurant or retail industry. International experience preferred.
Strong Interior Design skills in creation, illustration and presentation of creative design.
General understanding of building codes, environmental regulations and NSF standards.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of architectural design plans and materials.
Proficiency in the use of personal computers and design software including current industry software such as AutoCAD and Sketch-Up.
Working Knowledge or the ability to learn Microsoft Project and Suite of Adobe products
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and build effective working relationships.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
