This position functions under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, and works closely with clinical staff to provide space planning, finish selection, renovation and relocation assistance as well as managing facilities related building plans and databases. This position will perform activities in the areas of space planning, including clinic and office space design and renovation, space utilization analysis, project scheduling, construction specifications, relocation procedures, space inventory, assisting with procurement of clinic and office furniture and artwork, and assisting with project budget and supervision, in accordance with laws, codes and prescribed administrative policies and procedures. This position will conduct facilities activities that meet a high level of professional space design, ergonomic standards, accessibility standards, construction management and compliance with state, federal and municipal laws, codes and regulations. This position will utilize a computer aided drafting and design program (AutoCAD) and project planning software (MicroSoft Project). Considerable individual initiative and independent technical/professional judgment is exercised during the planning and implementation of projects
Work Schedule: 100% FTE or 40 hours per week. 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional travel will be required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or similar field of study
Licenses & Certifications
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to interpret electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural plans and specifications.
Knowledge in building accessibility requirements defined by the ADA
Knowledge in principles of construction and remodeling and space analysis and ergonomic applications and practices.
Knowledge in architectural, construction and interior design principles and practices.
Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, space plans and technical specifications.
Able to apply project management techniques to complete projects. Knowledge in MS Project.
Computer aided drafting and design software (ACAD) skills.
