Responsible for project management and working with clients to design buildings, additions, and renovations of new and existing buildings. Works closely with other Wightman professionals to ensure safe, efficient, economical and functional spaces.
Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
Consult with client to determine functional and spatial requirements
Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents
Plan layout of project
Prepare contract documents for building contractors
Prepare scale drawings
Integrate engineering elements into unified design
Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
Administer construction contracts.
Represent client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
Prepare operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.
