Reporting directly to and receiving approvals from the Director of Account Development, responsible for overseeing production within the architectural / design department, including but not limited to managing conceptual and design development production schedules, contract document preparation, specification writing, quoting, and permitting for design/build projects. Responsible, in collaboration with Account Management and Senior Design Architect for front end client interaction and management of design and architecture activities with new customers as well as new projects with existing clientele.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts self professionally, representing Load King, working cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
Organize and coordinate multiple disciplines to work effectively together for a single outcome. Ability to provide clear direction and identify unified program goals to establish clear and efficient team work.
Good listening skills for identifying customers true needs. Ability to clarify clients desires as a whole and manage the client and process.
Attention to details, project needs and building/health code requirements.
Contract document package assembly and shop drawing detailing.
Permitting and expediting the permitting process.
Working MEP knowledge in order to effectively coordinate activities with subcontracted consultants and/or self-perform.
Coordination with materials, specifications and all product needs with proper internal/external resources.
Ability to manage a new project from inception through final walk through after construction.
Work directly with the construction department in a design build format.
Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with hiring new design department employees.
Manage day to day design department functions as well as design dept. employees.
Schedule work flow, weekly.
Assist with departmental employee reviews that has direct supervision over.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited school. Minimum 5 year’s experience, two of which directly supervising employees. Architectural license in one or more states.
Software Knowledge Requirements
Revit, AutoCAD Architecture or AutoCAD, proficient using Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Additional Salary Information: Salary will begin at $70,000; higher salary could be considered depending on experience
