Credo’s award-winning Campus Planning and Architecture team specializes in designing campus master plans, living-and-learning communities, student engagement facilities, academic facilities, and other higher education spaces and places. Our work creates transformational, high impact, intentionally designed spaces affecting a campus’s total experience.
We are seeking an NCARB certified Design Architect to either work out of our Whitsett, North Carolina or our De Pere, Wisconsin office. The ideal candidate will: demonstrate strong design skills, be able to adapt designs to higher education clients’ needs, have excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills, love to travel, and be an organized, detail-oriented team player. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Architectural degree from an accredited university in the United States
Registered U.S. architect with current NCARB certification, or the ability to become NCARB certified;LEED® AP desired
Minimum five years’ experience on projects in the United States, leading project design from conceptual through construction documents; demonstrated experience in higher education preferred
Ability to initiate and create space-and-place solutions for higher education
Ability to prepare presentation and design drawings using Autocad®, Adobe® Photoshop®, and InDesign®; SketchUp and Autodesk® Revit preferred
Provide analysis and understanding of higher education campus priorities and needs
Leadership skills to mentor and direct our internal team with respect to design
Knowledge of current, appropriate materials and products
Possession of excellent graphic, presentation, communication, and public speaking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with the office leaders and staff, clients, field personnel, and external consultants.
Strong technical skills, understanding of building codes, and the ability to understand and carryout intended design direction from clients and Credo’s Director of Design.
Travel is required; must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to fly on cross-country flights
