ESD Partners, architectural and interior design, located in Uptown Charlotte, is currently seeking all levels of Architects due to its recent growth. The Architect is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing activities on single or multi-discipline commercial projects in retail, office, banking and educational facilities. This position will be required to participate in the preparation of design and construction documents in AutoCAD along with the necessary specifications for securing bids or negotiations with General Contractors. This position also requires participation in specifying products and materials along with shop drawing reviews and construction administration services. This is a position for the well-rounded architect who likes involvement in all aspects of a project.
Qualified Architects will have experience with: • Standard AIA Contract Documents • Standard Commercial Construction Standards • Engineers and other Consultants • Managing Client Relations
Key Architect skills include: • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. • High levels of creativity, imagination and vision. • A keen interest in the building environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusion. • Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD). • Strong mathematical skills. • A keen eye for the detail of specific tasks, combined with an understanding of how such specifics fit in with the project as a whole. • Organizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks. • An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability. • Leadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team of other professionals.
Architect Qualifications: Degree in Architecture or Technical School with strong AutoCAD productions skills. Experience with AutoCAD recent versions and Microsoft Office products. Any other software skills a plus. Licensed in US.
