asap is seeking an architectural designer to join our team at our Buffalo office. The ideal candidate will have an M.Arch. or equivalent and strong design skills grounded in the theory and practice of architecture. Additionally, we would prefer candidates with 2-8 years of professional experience, although others are welcome to apply. Architects with experience in residential work or adaptive reuse are especially encouraged as well.
Responsibilities may include: preparation of architectural documents at all design levels from concept to construction documents and administration; preparation of presentation documents and graphics; model building; interior design work including materials & FF&E research.
We are a growing boutique international design firm with projects in a variety of market sectors and locations. Our work is concept-driven and design focused, and has been recognized with a variety of awards and publications.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, easy to work with, hard working, passionate about design, and interested in working in a small-office environment with significant design responsibility. As a small office, applicants should expect a more informal working environment and exposure to a wide range of tasks. Licensure is welcome but not a prerequisite.

He was visiting assistant professor of architecture at the State University of New York, Buffalo for 2006-11. His work has been featured in The New York Times and publications by Rizzoli among others, and has been exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York. He is a registered architect in the States of New York and California, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
