The California Project Architect candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of healthcare Architecture. A bachelor's degree in Architecture with a minimum of five years’ work experience in construction documents as the Project Architect, including relative experience in clinical design and construction administration of healthcare type projects.
The successful candidate must be a detail-driven, team player, able to work independently, yet be accountable to and interested in the bigger picture.
The successful candidate is equally skilled in Revit + AutoCAD, InDesign, Microsoft Project Manager, assists their team to achieve high-quality design, deliver projects on schedule and on budget, while keeping eyes open for innovative opportunities to improve the process, plan or project.
This position works under the direction of the Practice Leader. This position requires the skills and abilities related to medical architecture and exhibit an expertise in healthcare facilities.
Responsible for substantial architectural projects. Selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques to use to complete projects. Writes reports and specifications, supervises the preparation of architectural plans, and reviews completed plans and estimates. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture and 3-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
Bachelor Degree in Architecture is required.
California Architectural License is required with a minimum of five years’ experience as a Project Manager/Architect.
Five to Ten Years of Progressive Experience in Healthcare Projects is preferred.
Experience in VA projects within the last two years is strongly preferred.
NCARB Certification is preferred.
LEED accreditation a plus.
Must live in California

Ability to research technical requirements from federal websites.
Ability to conduct building inspections of occupied spaces in a healthcare environment.

Understanding of Architectural Building Components and Systems in a healthcare environment.
