Your responsibilities will include
Managing the architects with the aim of producing a coordinated design
Maintain schedules, track and execute milestone completions.
Communicate the technical implications of design decisions.
Develop the development and integration of all technical aspects and content of projects.
Ability to plan, and coordinate architectural and interior design efforts. Ability to have perspective on and sensitivity to considerations of space, systems, materials, color, texture, lighting and furniture
Work with design director on project execution, analyses and reporting.
Maintain, project and track budget of development projects (including input into the proforma, processing vendor invoices, and draw packages);
Manage RFPs, bidding, interviews, proposal comparisons and leveling, as well as contracting activities;
Support coordination of consultants;
Manage and attend project meetings (design meetings, OAC meetings, sales and marketing meetings etc), produce minutes and manage follow up;
Produce reports and presentations for senior management, including company monthly project progress reports and meeting minutes;
Assist in the creation of specifications, scope narratives and design criteria;
Ensuring the design process recognizes current standards, building codes and best practices where appropriate
Develop Word, PowerPoint and Excel templates to standardize the design management process;
Professional degree in Architecture in (a) architecture, (b) real estate development, (c) civil or structural engineering or (d) related fields;
Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in (a) design/ project management, or (b) real estate development. Minimum 2 years’ experience working with a developer is preferable.
Strong experience/ knowledge on mixed-use residential projects, for rental and condominium high density, mid-rise and high rise projects on a parking podium
Possess a strong understanding of structural engineering and MEP design
Experience on TYPE III & TYPE V construction
Knowledge of California building codes is a Must.
Knowledge of LEED
Proficient in MS Office, in particular MS Excel, and MS Project, AutoCAD, Photoshop and other design/ editing software skills.
Bi-lingual (English/ Mandarin) prefers but not a must.
