The Design Associate will be responsible for establishing and implementing Buckingham design standards for unit design and common areas, while providing guidance and managing the design process for new amenity and leasing centers, FFE, OSE, OFCI, OFOI for all new construction projects. The Design Associate will also be responsible for CAPEX and FUND renovations budgets, design and execution. The Design Associate will also prepare graphic, Cad and Sketch Up exhibits for various projects.
Preparing design finishes presentations, binders for site and corporate teams, boards for preleasing.
Coordinating Interior Designer, low voltage, IT scope of work for all Interior spaces, amenity, leasing and common areas.
Managing third party consultants for FUND and CAPEX interior renovations.
Coordinating ordering, delivery and installation of FFE, OSE, OFCI and OFOI for all new projects (including POs, Budget updates and funding for all FFE, OFCI, OSE, OFOI items).
Developing and implementing Buckingham design standards for new and existing properties.
Coordinating art commissioning and installation.
Collaborating with CAPEX team on establish annual budgets.
Selecting all design related items for CAPEX scope including amenity center furniture, pool furniture and accessories, TVs, etc.
Touring existing properties in the market and prepares market report for unit finishes and amenity package.
Furnishing and accessorizing of model units and amenity centers.
Coordinating Property Improvements Plan.
Providing guidance to management team for all existing portfolio.
Providing budgetary input for renovation projects.
Meeting with on-site existing properties and coordinating units and amenity upgrades.
Coordinating installation and furnishing of temporary leasing trailer.
Preparing graphic exhibits for city and stakeholders presentations.
Creating and updating company documents for RFP, Financing packages.
Maintaining organization of large database of design files.
Assisting with special projects as assigned.
Assist with landscape architect on design intent, art features and special moments.
Procure and manage samples as required for individual projects.
Create and track project finishes and selections for future review.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficient in Adobe CS5 or higher, especially, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Pro, AutoCad, Blue Beam, Sketch Up.
Experience in Revit is also preferred.
Proficient with FTP and cloud file storage platforms like Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong graphic skill sets and ability to pull information for design presentation independently.
Strong time/project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong understanding of color and ability to follow design trends.
Understanding of ADA, FHA, International Building Code and any other restrictions applicable to new and renovations projects.
Ability to work independently with little direction and take creative direction from designers and clients.
