Textured Coatings of America, Inc. (TCA) is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic sales leader with a background in technical sales, engineering, or architecture along with commercial construction experience and who has a solid leadership ability to serve as Business Director of Commercial Sales for an established customer base with annual sales of over $3,000,000.00. Reporting to the President/CEO, the Business Director will serve as a key executive team member, calling on existing established accounts and contributing to the overall sales strategy, sales team leadership, sales process, and sales results. Exterior paint and architectural coatingsexperience is a huge plus. Position to be based out TCA’s Ft. Lauderdale, FL Sales Office.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives
Establish and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, and other construction professionals to get TCA products specified
Work with state Departments of Transportation to represent TCA's Class 5 coatings and stains for concrete bridges, sound barrier walls, etc....
Work with architects and engineers in writing specifications and conducting lunch and learn presentations for the same
Meet with key national account contacts (Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Rooms To Go, Simon, etc.) to maintain existing business and build new relationships
Oversee sales operations processes, including the validation of orders, prices, and billing
Work with Marketing team to plan and attend events to support business development
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in the architectural paints and coatings industry with an emphasis on architectural coatings for pre-cast and/or tilt-up construction
Experience with Departments of Transportation and Class 5 coatings a plus
Strong technical base with exposure to construction documents, especially creating and modifying specifications
Thorough understanding of commercial construction procedures and timing
Extensive experience calling on and interacting with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals and conducting lunch and learn presentations
Experience with growing independent commercial sales representatives across the country
Experience growing national account business
Credible leader and effective ambassador for the company
Ability to collaborate, cross-functionally and at all levels within the organization
Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
