The Architect Program Manager completes design and construction documents for construction projects as well as minor remodels and design updates for all areas of health system. Provides program management and coordinates with appropriate stakeholders to schedule projects, order materials and facilitate projects to completion. Works as an owner advocate on projects and coordinates with all impacted individuals including leaders, physicians, employees, plant and facilities staff, and outside architects, engineers, contractors, regulatory agencies, etc.
Essential Job Functions
* Completes design and construction documents for redecorating and construction projects in Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Responsible for the design and procurement of all furniture, fixtures, equipment and facility signage.
* Coordinates ordering of carpet, vinyl wall covering and other materials as needed. Provides program management and coordinates scheduling of projects to completion. Assures project designs are appropriately coordinated with all impacted individuals including users, Plant and Facilities staff, architects/engineers, contractors, regulatory agencies, etc.
* Provides expertise and serves a liaison to external Architects and engineers involved with master planning and redecorating/remodeling needs. Assists with all construction changes and implementation. Keeps all stakeholders informed and involved in changes as needed.
* Develops policies, tools and metrics to track project initiation to completion and monitors compliance to metrics and implements appropriate actions to ensure compliance with project deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture; preferred: Leadership Energy and Environmental Design through the US Green Building Council.
