We are currently seeking a Design Supervisor to join our team in Pittston, PA.
Benco's Design Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Interior Design team as well as coordinating Interior Design projects including assigning of projects and team schedules. Oversees A&E projects including bidding, execution, and record keeping. Ensures team is providing world class design to our clients, and monitoring quality assurance within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be familiar with dental equipment sold by Benco sales team
Prepare Dental Specifications
Work on new customer planning projects and revisions
Work on renderings and 3D modeling
Ensure the Benco “Design Philosophy” is captured on all plans and incorporates Herman Miller
Be knowledgeable with all space planning concepts necessary to produce effective space plans
Be knowledgeable with all information needed from Benco sales team to prepare dental specifications
Prepare reflected ceiling plans
Creatively work with clients to deliver interior design services that meet the aesthetic and functional requests of the customer.
Specify furniture offerings to assist salesforce in winning the sale.
Continuous knowledge sharing, peer reviews, and collaboration are imperative
Meets with customers- in person or electronically- evenings and weekends as part of VIP Experiences or web-casts
Educates and promotes design offerings to salesforce via VIP’s, SharePoint, and special events.
Attends at least one design seminar annually to participate in client 1:1’s and to take advantage of educational opportunities.
Works nights/weekends and outside the standard 40 hour work week on an as needed basis to accommodate workload.
Participation on A&E packages via interior design services.
On site visits with interior customers as required.
Takes on additional duties as assigned.
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited college; other degrees in combination with relevant work experience may also be considered.
Experience: Experience in dental or related field preferred. Prior dental planning experience and/or experience with furniture design/sales a plus.
Skills needed: Proficient in AutoCAD platform, Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop and Adobe. Strong knowledge of interior design concepts, space planning, construction documents, and procedures. Ability to work independently within a team structure. Comfortable giving presentations and holding meetings with team members and clients. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout Benco and value a strong team-oriented approach. Excellent organization and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
