About Osborn Engineering/OSports
OSports has a rich heritage of sports and entertainment planning and design dating back to 1909, when OSports’ business ‘parent’, The Osborn Engineering Company, designed one of the nation’s first major league baseball stadiums, League Park, in Cleveland. Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run in League Park and Joe DiMaggio’s record 56-game hitting streak came to an end there. when the firm designed League Park, the first home of Cleveland's major league baseball teams, including the Spiders, the Buckeyes of the Negro Leagues, and the Cleveland Indians.
Since then, we've been privileged to design some of the nation's most beloved venues including stadia, ballparks, race tracks, arenas and multi-purpose / multi-sport facilities.
When selected as project engineer for Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1928, Osborn already had designed more than 75 sports facilities, including New York's Yankee Stadium, Boston's Fenway Park, Chicago's Comiskey Park, and sports facilities for numerous colleges and universities, including Purdue, Notre Dame, and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
We have the distinct advantage of applying our knowledge of the “fan experience” from our ...work with professional sports to collegiate venues. Our passion and knowledge for these venues is undeniable; we understand the idiosyncrasies of sports and entertainment design and drive the innovations that will be the basis for tomorrow’s facilities. Our success is rooted in our founding principles that focus our commitment to understand and deliver on our clients’ needs, desires and future interests. We have been pioneers in our profession since the inception of our firm in 1892.
