The Industrial Architect is responsible for the planning and design of industrial processing facilitates. Responsibilities for this leadership position include; project coordination, preparation of program statements, planning documents, contract documents and specifications for technical projects; development of technical specifications and recommending specification requirements and content. The candidate must have an understanding of code studies, cGMP facility design, explosion venting and containment, laboratories and amenities for plant operations.
Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the design, technical and management interface on assigned projects.
Develops and monitors project engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts including Middough Work Process tools.
Reviews project/architectural deliverables for compliance with accepted design principles, company standards and customer contract specifications.
Develops and maintains monthly project status reports and executes engineering change authorizations (ECA), as required.
Works directly with client to market, scope, estimate and execute architectural-based single and multi-discipline consulting (T&M) work on a continuous basis.
Skills and Qualifications:
8+years architectural experience in leading the designing of buildings for process type projects - food, pharma, chemicals
Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture or related discipline
Professional registration in architecture
cGMP facility design experience
Experience with explosion venting and containment
Experience designing laboratories is a plus
LEED AP credentials a plus
Construction document preparation including comprehensive construction administration
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Experience with and general knowledge of contract and liability issues
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
