Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized architectural and engineering firm, is experiencing exciting and sustainable growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a project architect. This position will lead project teams in the delivery of architecture and planning services on a wide range of facility types with a focus on aviation. Typical projects include airport passenger terminals, fire stations, air traffic control towers, hangars, maintenance facilities, office buildings, training facilities and operations facilities. Responsibilities include leading the production of architectural designs and construction documents; coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant teams; and working closely with clients and partners. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
bachelor of architecture degree (5-year degree) from an accredited school or college, OR a bachelor of science degree in architecture and a master’s degree in architecture from an accredited school or college
architect license (with the ability to obtain license in CA within six months of hire) AND
at least seven years of relevant architecture experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: leading architectural teams, including consultants, in the design and delivery of new construction and/or major renovations; design of aviation and/or government (public sector) projects; mentoring less experienced architectural staff; producing projects with REVIT; LEED certification.
