We are in search of an organized and pro-active Project Manager to join our studio in our San Jose, CA office location. This individual will be responsible for directing multiple corporate interior projects of varying size and scope.
Generate project plans, fee proposals and project schedules in response to RFP’s and other opportunities
Develop and execute contracts between NELSON and its outside consultants and clients for services
Create/monitor project schedules and budgets as determined by the client
Oversee and participate in the design and project delivery process. Coordinate with cross discipline team members to ensure that everyone is on track with project requirements, deadlines and budgets
Ensure that design reviews occur at the designated stages of projects
Facilitate and issue additional service requests
Responsible for leading and coordinating efforts of work done by design team
Build Client trust and loyalty
Submit project deliverables to the City and follow up until permit is issued
Enhance the work and careers of NELSON teammates through continuous training, support and mentoring
Responsible for communication with external stakeholders
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of architectural design, building codes construction and costs
Proven ability to identify and solve problems and resolve conflicts
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively balance work load
