AKEA Design, Inc. currently has an opening for an experienced registered architect. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's degree preferred), and currently be registered in the State of Florida or on track for registration. The main responsibilities for the position include:
Preparing conceptual drawings, renderings, and presentation materials. Preparing construction documents and developing design solutions and details for all phases of a project. Working closely with team members to complete design and construction documents on time and within budget. Assisting in the preparation of construction specifications. Generating revisions and corrections from review comments and red-lined drawings. Participating in client presentations and review meetings. Conducting on-site observations of on-going project construction.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have a broad base of working knowledge of building materials, construction methods and details, codes and standards, and dealing with regulatory agencies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office Suite, and BIM concepts are also necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good organizational skills are also required, as is the ability to travel and the possession of a valid driver's license.

B.S. in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred. Current State of Florida Registered Architect or on track for registration. Five years' work experience, preferably with a focus on healthcare facilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office Suite, and BIM concepts.
