The Atlanta office of McAfee3 Architects is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Architect. This position is responsible for ensuring timely and effective communication between the Owner/Client, Design Team and General Contractor and Construction Manager during all phases of Design through the Construction of a project. The desired candidate must also have a working knowledge of building systems and coordinating design documents across disciplines. Work also requires hands on documentation and candidate must be reasonably proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Photoshop. The desired candidate must be familiar with building and life safety codes, accessibility regulations, specification writing and construction administration processes.
Candidates must be a licensed architect and have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience. Candidates must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project. Architect - AutoCAD/Revit
The Architect will report directly to the Senior Architect and Principal Architect and will work on a variety of concurrent projects. The Architect will be responsible for the coordination and development of detailed construction drawings for the Projects. The Architect will be responsible for adherence to office standards, and may act as a peer reviewer of other projects developed in the office. In addition to larger team participation, this role may include taking lead and self-performing small projects. Interactive people skills are a must. Architectural degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
Minimum 5 year experience producing architectural construction documents for non residential projects
Experience with MasterSpec or specification development is desirable.
Proficient Knowledge of:
Current versions of AutoCAD
Current versions of Revit
Photoshop and SketchUp is desirable
International Building Code, Life Safety Code and NFPA
CSI and the ability to research materials to meet design requirements
Construction materials and how to assemble to produce efficient building assemblies
Highly organized and detail oriented
Construction administration including shop drawings and submittal logs
Must be quality minded and self motivated
Coordination of engineering disciplines
