Little, nationally recognized as a “Best Firm to Work For” and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, is seeking a Sr. Job Captain /Project Architect, with a passion for high quality design and a positive, collaborative work style, for our Higher Education Studio in our Newport Beach, CA Office.
Works under minimal supervision and reports to the Studio Principal;
Leads the technical development of small to large scope higher education and civic projects during Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation Phases;
Ability to generate thorough code analysis;
Leads the Agency submittal, review, back-check, and approval;
Leads Bidding Phase efforts, Construction Administration and Closeout Phases;
Coordinates with clients, client representatives, project team and consultants to ensure project meets set expectations and Little standards;
Collaborates with the Project Designers, Project Facilitators, and Senior Architects as-needed;
Manages Junior / Support staff members throughout project development;
Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture; Architectural registration (or on track) is preferred;
8+ years of related professional work experience;
DSA and Higher Education project experience required;
Solid production skills and attention to detail;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to coordinate with client, project team and consultants;
Self-motivation and desire for professional development;
Strong Revit skills required;
Ability to navigate other modeling and rendering programs such as SketchUp, as well as presentation programs such as PowerPoint and InDesign desired;
