This position is responsible for leading planning on major strategic capital construction projects for hospitals and service organizations in a manner that is consistent with and meets the strategic priorities of BJC HealthCare. Individual will serve as an internal consultant for capital planning decision making, provide support to leadership on research and intelligence related to health care design and construction best practices, and execute the development of best practices and optimization of resources across capital projects to achieve operational outcomes using methodologies and tools in alignment with performance improvement efforts.
Responsible for planning strategic capital construction projects to achieve desired project goals and business outcomes in support of BJC’s mission and values. Leads the development and implementation of project vision, scope of work and functional deliverables for relevant projects. Coordinates RFP process on projects, and manages the work plan for consultants hired to provide programming and planning through design development including coordination of end users/entities.
Act as an internal consultant to guide hospitals and service organizations in strategic capital planning decision making. Point of contact for space planning recommendations in alignment with strategic campus plans. Will also lead the development and maintenance of multi-year models, capital budgets, campus assessments and strategic campus plans, as well as provides programming and planning studies.
Provide support to leadership on research and intelligence related to health care design and construction best practices at the local and national level. Coordinates best practices from internal BJC departments, and researches topics relevant for planning and design in support of projects and process improvements.
