As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with other registered architects and architectural interns as well as mechanical, electrical and structural department colleagues on a variety of projects. GRW offers a wide variety of services for our clients' infrastructure and building design projects. Our multidiscipline personnel function as a cohesive design team to create local and regional utility systems, energy-efficient building components, environmentally-sensitive site developments, and safe, modern transportation facilities. GRW provides comprehensive technical resources for all types of infrastructure designs. GRW's assignments range in scope from planning studies to projects with construction costs in excess of $180 million. GRW's teams have designed projects ranging from a few thousand square feet to campuses with gross building area over 600,000 ft2. Because of our in-house team, GRW has capability to successfully plan, design and deliver large, complex projects, as easily as smaller projects.
GRW's complete architectural and engineering services from planning and design through construction administration, also includes 3D modeling to enhance the understanding of how a project looks and works before it's built. Our project experience includes facility renovations and expansions, as well as new facility construction. Using the principles of sustainable design, our architects and engineers improve the functionality, operating efficiency, aesthetics and long-term value of these building projects. GRW is seeking the following qualifications:
B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited institution.
Architecture licensure in at least one state in the US, and must be able to become registered in Kentucky within 6 months of employment, and in other states as needed by reciprocity.
Minimum 8 years' experience managing architectural projects in a consulting environment.
Advanced knowledge of architectural programming, design, code review, estimating, construction document preparation, and construction administration.
Experience working on projects with the Department of Defense preferred.
Experience leading a multi-discipline design team through all phases of a project.
Experience guiding and mentoring less experienced architectural staff.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Revit.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with team members and other disciplines.
High level or organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Marketing, sales, and business development experience
Ability to plan project resources, maintain schedules, and stay within budget.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Advanced client-management skills, including maintaining regular contact with assigned clients.
Desire, motivation and ability to work diligently and intelligently toward meeting firm's and client's goals.
Desire and willingness to continue professional growth.
Experience with health care, corrections facilities, and/or higher-education projects is considered a plus.
Position is full-time, and office-based, with possible placement in either our Lexington KY or Louisville KY office.
