GHP, a Nashville-based Environmental and Architecture Firm, is searching for a Senior Architect. This role, reporting to the Director of California Operations, will lead and assist with design and project management work with key clients in the Senior Living market throughout California and across the country.

Nashville is the national headquarters with regional offices in Denver, San Antonio, Jupiter, FL and San Francisco, as well.
This role will be based in the greater San Francisco area, with the office location being in the East Bay area.
The incumbent in this role will work with a national leader in senior living facilities throughout California as well as other regions of the country. Projects will range from rehab and renovations to new additions working into potential new construction. The candidate must have an architecture license in the State of California or have the ability to obtain one in short order.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:
Lead the client relationship for the assigned projects and any additional initiatives assigned.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and maintain relationships with internal and external clients as well as key vendor partners.
Comfortable and capable working with both public and private sector leaders
Create and implement innovative design concepts.
Full responsibility to execute a project, both in completing project tasks and managing overall schedule, budgets, and team.
Manage vendor and project team performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, all regulating entities and client expectations.
Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with all client representatives and service providers operating on the project
Develop and drive adherence to project specific and client driven goals, schedule, budgets, strategy and detailed assumptions.
Facilitate all critical program /project meetings and coordinate with internal staff, key stakeholders and external vendors to ensure responsibilities are accurately and effectively communicated.
Provide regular project updates to Executive Level to show progress and program performance.
Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, and clients while maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation.
Escalate risks throughout the organization appropriately.
Expertly track monthly project management fees and schedules.
Develop and drive innovations, best practices, and standard operating procedures to elevate team, account, and firm performance.
Ability to travel to facility locations (mainly within California) as required by the client.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Architecture degree preferred; registered or ability to be registered in California.
10 years minimum experience.
5 or more years of progressive design/pm work in the senior living market.
Ability to work across disciplines (design, engineering, renovation, construction).
Experience with healthcare facility design would also be a plus.
