Prepare Project Manuals (front end documents and technical specifications) for senior living, college and university and K-12 projects.
Support the project teams with products research and answering specification related questions.
Coordinate schedules and deadlines with internal team members and outside consultants.
Stay current with the latest building standards, products and building materials.
Prepare specifications using AIA MasterSpec.
5+ years of specification writing experience
Bachelors of Architecture, Engineering or Building Construction related degree preferred; Candidates with a background in architecture or related field with expertise in building systems and materials will also be considered.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
Able to work on multiple projects and coordinate with internal design team and outside engineering consultants.
Able to manage the work flow of preparing specifications for multiple projects.
Attention to detail and understanding of building envelop systems.
Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) or Registered Architect preferred.
