The individual selected for this opportunity will be working on projects of varying size and scope, with the opportunity to work with a team dedicated to advancing breakthrough ideas through design. The types of projects can cover the full spectrum of commercial office projects – Corporate Headquarters, Regional, Speculative and or mixed-use commercial architecture. This position will require a team member that leads with a positive attitude and has the capacity to thrive in a highly ambitious and entrepreneurial environment
Preparation and execution of design and construction documents by the design team for obtaining all required state and local permits;
Management of multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants;
Applying design and construction solving skills in coordination with contractors, designers and consultants;
Maintain the project manual and specifications;
Provide construction administration services and quality control;
Mentor other team members in their development; and
Travel to conduct on-site observations and document site reviews.
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture;
8+ years of professional experience;
Experience in Workplace projects (preferred);
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Experience resolving complex technical and design issues;
Understanding of how buildings are constructed and ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly and accurately describe the work to be done;
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills;
Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures;
Ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously;
Self-starter and independent problem-solver;
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
