Perkins Eastman has an exciting opportunity in our healthcare studio located in Charlotte, NC, We are seeking an outstanding Healthcare Project Architect to participate in all facets of assigned healthcare project development for our local, regional and select national projects.

We are seeking an outstanding Healthcare Project Architect with a minimum of 6 years of healthcare project development experience. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for healthcare project architecture, scalable from simple renovations to large, complex projects.
The successful candidate will engage with multidisciplinary teams and work as an advocate for executional excellence in project architectural development, including layout and detailing of the project. This individual must deeply understand the nature of team organization, collaboration and empowerment, leading to superior results. This is a project leadership position, with responsibility for architectural design and technical production of projects.
Additional Healthcare Project Architect duties:
Assist in coordination of all project disciplines.
Prepares the project code review.
Participate in external and internal project meetings, including reviews with governing authorities.
Participate in work sessions with all project disciplines.
Understand and apply strong quality assurance principles. Implement technical quality control protocols.
Work with the project specifications team, and edit those documents as applicable.
Coordinate and assist with construction contract administration duties.
Where necessary, lead projects in a dual management role
Participate with the Project Manager in project work plan and schedule development, including fee and budget requirements.
Multi-task to allow for development of concurrent project work.
Minimum Bachelor of Architecture degree
Registered Architect (or nearing registration)
Broad spectrum of healthcare project type and delivery method experience.
Experience in preparation of project contract documents and specifications
Familiarization with local and regional jurisdictional authority and code requirements (including FGI), and requisite planning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well versed in MS Office Suite.
Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit, and other computer aided design software
Must possess the ability to apply critical thinking, influence, and decision making within a team structure.
Healthcare Medical Planning
Experience in healthcare, educational, senior living, and mixed use facilities
EDAC or WELL certified, but not required
Strong computer and graphic presentation skills (AutoCAD REVIT, MS Office Products)
