In response to the unprecedented crisis of COVID-19, AIA is creating a “Staff Sharing” job type that allows firms short of staff and not able to hire to connect with firms that may be short of work but wanting to retain staff.
Intermediate to experienced level project architect/designer with 5+ years of experience.
Candidate will be responsible for the production of all project documents. This includes project design narratives, architectural models, construction documents, specification, square footage tabulations, field surveys and as-builts, material research, and other requirement documents. As the architectural lead, the candidate will interact and coordinate with the project manager, consultants and vendors.
Candidate must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills. Must be able to work well independently and as part of the team. Need excellent writing and organizational skills for meeting reports, phase documents, etc. Ability to sketch to convey ideas and concepts is beneficial.
Architectural license is not required. Periodic travel is required.
Must have high level of proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, RHINO/SketchUp is desired.
Experience with federal government/DoD projects and sustainable principals is beneficial.
