Architect, Construction Management, Specifications
4 Year Degree
Work with project teams to develop specifications for each project
Write technical descriptions of building materials
Act as a technical resource for architecture staff
Coordinate specification schedules and deadlines with internal staff, external consultants, and clients
Compile and edit project manuals
Stay current with construction trends, standards, materials, and products through continuing education, consulting, training, and research
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Technical knowledge of design and construction
Knowledge of construction processes and manufacturing standards
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a construction related field preferred
Deep knowledge of door hardware and commercial kitchens a plus
CSI certification preferred
Prior specifications writing experience
Computer skills that include Word, Excel, Masterspec, and familiarity with Revit
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
