What You Will Do:
The BIM Manager will work in a team-oriented environment supporting users in architecture, interiors and engineering. The BIM Manager’s role is to understand how BIM will affect project workflows throughout Integrus Architecture. The primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation and administration on all related BIM projects, files and models across both offices.
Knowledge to be “go-to” person on all Revit-related inquiries
Work with project teams to develop and execute a project strategy that includes leveraging BIM, utilizing tools to solve problems and advance the project design and production.
Work with project teams to identify, test and suggest ways to better leverage BIM technology.
Interface with the IT team on hardware/software interactions and implementation of new or updated BIM software.
Monitor software updates for Revit and other related BIM software and work with IT to prep, test and push out updates.
Trouble-shoot technical issues regarding Revit and BIM related software.
Follow the development in the Revit world and suggest and implement new add-ons for specific purposes on a variety of project types.
Analyze how to best integrate models from different applications to be used with our projects.
Oversee BIM software firm-wide, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support for all BIM installations as well as analysis to solve BIM user issues.
Provide end-user training, support and leadership.
Manage and create content library files and templates, creating and enforcing standards and evaluating project models.
Create and maintain software template files to assure standards.
Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced.
Provide technical orientation to new hires regarding BIM tools.
Manage software products including, but not limited to, incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software and customizing software for specific firm needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
At least 3 years’ experience as a BIM Manager with a background in implementing training programs and developing BIM standards for a practice.
Subject matter expert on Revit, its add-ons and their application and use within architecture.
Understanding of the practice of architecture, project delivery and construction methods.
Service oriented and highly approachable with commitment to helping others.
Good interpersonal skills and very comfortable and effective working with others in a team environment.
