RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The project architect oversee designs to meet client specifications, create and propose budget and time estimations, and act as an intermediary between client and the project team. He/she must also write reports and/or update the project schedule so as to keep the client informed about the status of the project.
2. Proficient and have a solid understanding of building construction and the different components.
3. Able to collaborate and resolve multi-disciplinary consultant issues without compromising the design.
4. Develop the working drawings in conjunction with the specific standards inherent to the studio.
5. Keeps track of the drawings ensuring that the output is within the design intent
6. Able to produce a fully coordinated set.
7. Reports progress to Project Manager / Studio Director.
8. Demonstrate project leadership by mentoring project coordinators and/or job captains throughout the process.
9. Work with Senior Designer or Senior Design Manager to resolve design issues with creative and practical solutions

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

1. 8-10 years minimum experience
2. Proficient in Revit and ACAD
3. Experience in construction administration
4. Experience working with different jurisdictional agencies
5. Experience in implementing zoning, planning, and building codes and standards               
6. Strong graphic, organization, and communication skills
7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the project team within the studio
8. Able to handle multiple priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
9. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
10. Licensed Architect
11. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
