Architects Alaska is searching for a project manager for a position in our Wasilla, Alaska office. Our Wasilla office is in one of the fastest growing regions in Alaska, and the United States. Located in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Wasilla is served by local shopping centers including major retail outlets, major medical facilities, K-12 schools, community and technical colleges and is connected by a major highway to Anchorage, a major metropolitan city at the air crossroads of the world. Yet, Wasilla provides easy access to the great recreational opportunities for which Alaska is famous.

As a project manager at Architects Alaska, you collaborate with the principal-in-charge of the project you are assigned to through all phases of the project. Responsibilities include meeting and consulting with clients, marketing assistance, project planning and programming, development of design solutions, overseeing and assistance with the production of design submittals, construction plans and specifications, managing assigned in-house design team members and outside technical consultants, coordination with building officials and other authorities having jurisdiction to secure construction documents approvals and permits, and managing your project’s construction services through project completion and warrantee inspections. Responsibilities also include mentoring of staff and assisting with other in-house design team’s production of deliverables on an as needed basis.
