Overmyer Architects is located in Georgetown, Washington DC, and has an open full-time position with benefits for an experienced designer / architect with a focus on high-end residential architecture and historic preservation. Be part of a close-knit design team working on extraordinary homes. Responsibilities include:
One-on-one coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Overseeing projects through all design phases - from schematic design through permitting and construction administration.
Developing comprehensive and detailed design drawings, including renderings and 3d models.
Various administrative-related tasks
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is Required.
Precision and attention to detail is a must.
5+ years experience in residential architecture strongly preferred.
Proficiency in CAD required, knowledge / proficiency in Microstation V8 preferred.
3D rendering and design experience preferred (Adobe Photoshop / InDesign / Sketch Up / etc).
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and computer skills.
An enthusiastic attitude with an ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
