UPMC is seeking to hire an seasoned architect with a background in hospital planning, design and construction with knowledge of Life Safety Codes and FGI requirements.  The Hospital Architect works under the general direction of the Manager, Healthcare Facilities Planning to carry out large design and master planning projects for multiple UPMC hospital campuses. This position requires a high level of understanding of the design and construction process and regulatory documentation. This individual must interact with the hospital department heads and senior leadership to manage projects within the established timeline and budgets. The Hospital Architect is also a mentor to the Facilities Planners and Cad Drafters as they develop in their roles.
