Little is seeking a passionate and highly capable Senior Project Architect with a specialty in Health Sciences to join our team located in our Durham, NC office.
We are seeking an experienced project architect to add depth to our current Health Sciences market sector team. Currently our Office consists of Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers and Laboratory planners, providing great balance and cross collaboration between our Healthcare, Higher Education, Schools and Workplace clients and projects.
The ideal candidate will be a registered architect and have a clear understanding and extensive knowledge of medical education and laboratory typologies and the trends impacting academic health science and laboratory clients. . Positive energy, drive, fun, a total commitment to regenerative design, design excellence, and project profitability are vital attributes. Also important is the ability to cultivate talent, motivate people, and act as a mentor/role model.
Lead programming, planning, development and execution of technical documents, which will include coordination of other team members including Architects, Engineers and consultants.
Work directly with end-users within client project teams, including Universities and developers focused within the health sciences market.
Maintain awareness of evolving laboratory design and technical design and construction issues.
Lead and work with Engineers in the coordination of engineering systems.
Collaborate with our Healthcare & Higher Education project teams to collaborate on pursuits and build relationships along with other members of Little for future work.
Ideal candidates will have the following Qualifications:
A licensed architect with 8-12 years of experience with knowledge and experience in academic health, teaching and laboratory facilities
Passionate about medical education and research building typologies and willing to research and mentor others
Proficient in Revit and familiar with laboratory planning and laboratory equipment.
