Wright Architecture is seeking a highly motivated, creative and well-organized design architect with 2-6 years of architectural experience to join our dedicated team. You would design, collaborate and document mid-rise and high-rise mass timber office and affordable multiple family housing projects as well as design and manage innovative tenant improvement and single-family residential projects. Work samples should communicate excellence and enthusiasm for conceptual 2D and 3D design, architecture, interior design, affection for materials, connections, and appreciation for the challenge of solving technical and design-related issues through research and iteration.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
Actively contribute to the planning, design, and detailed documentation of projects of multiple scales and types at all phases of design
Preparation of presentation documents
Prepare and complete permit applications
Participate in the coordination of design consultants’ scope of work
Construction observation, design and response
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Sketch up
Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution
People positive attitude self-motivated, organized
2-6 years of architectural experience
Experience in assembling construction documents
Competence with OSSC, City of Portland codes
Proficiency in creative physical and 3D modeling and rendering
Finish model craftsmanship a plus but not required
Ability to convey ideas through hand drawing, study models and alternative media
Able to convey your personal design philosophy
