The American Institute of Architects, Atlanta Chapter (AIA Atlanta) is seeking a full-time Programs Manager. This position leads and supports a wide variety of programs aimed at our members and the general public, that focus on issues of design, the business of architecture, sustainability, and member development. Key responsibilities are planning, managing, and reporting more than 30 hours of continuing education offerings, playing a key role in delivery of the Aspire Experience conference on architecture, and planning multiple, diverse events serving AIA Atlanta members.
This position is currently in a hybrid work arrangement, and requires the occupant to live in the AIA Chapter area in order to adequately plan, attend, and supervise our events.
This job requires a unique blend of skills and aptitudes, including project management, logistics juggling, administrative competence, and volunteer management. It also requires a social, open personality style that enjoys customer service, a team-based work environment and customer interaction.
AIA Atlanta requires some minimum job experience (1-3 years), but recognizes that successful candidates can come from a wide variety of paths and directions, and that much of the work can be learned. A passion for service, sustainability or the built environment, and a desire to work in a team and make a positive difference in the profession are the most important elements.
