The City of Cincinnati, Department of Public Services is seeking a talented Principal Architect for the Division of City Facility Management (CFM). CFM is responsible for operating and maintaining a portfolio of public facilities that range from historical gems to cutting edge LEED and Net Zero Buildings. CFM is responsible for approximately two million square feet of facility space, which includes City Hall, police and fire facilities, office spaces for multiple City Departments, and critical infrastructure such as the Emergency Operations Center for Hamilton County and Public Services operational garages.
The Principal Architect is responsible for managing a budget for multiple projects with a small staff. Work could include $10M renovations to existing facilities, replacement facilities, or minor office renovations. There are many interesting and diverse projects to work on and manage.
Each applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Building Construction, or a closely related field. Please include copy of transcripts.
In addition, each applicant must have seven years of experience of successful project management of facility construction, or design projects at the supervisory level.
Possession of of an architectural license by the State Board of Examiners of Architects as a Professional Architect is required, as is a valid driver's license.
