Rotwein+Blake is seeking a full-time Technical Director with 10+ years of experience to manage and oversee production of architectural projects with demonstrated technical expertise on projects of various scales and complexities including mixed-use multifamily, commercial, office, medical, retail and industrial.   The successful applicant will be a self-motivated and creative problem solver, exhibiting strong management skills.  Candidates should be fluent in building technology, documentation, and specification writing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical effort and oversee overall technical quality of work for multiple projects to ensure alignment and accuracy with project scope, design, budget, client goals, consultant coordination and core requirements
• Oversee the Quality Assurance/ Quality Control review process for multiple projects
• Establish a leadership position in coordinating execution of design intent into the construction documentation, specifications, and throughout construction administration
• Manage project timelines, schedules, resources and project budget for multiple projects
• Resolve complex technical/design issues and provide guidance to team and consultants
• Provide final review for code compliance
• Technical staff development
• Specification writing

Qualifications:

• 10+ years minimum experience in architectural practice
• Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture
• Architectural license in New Jersey
• Advanced knowledge of Building Codes
• Expert in construction methodology, building systems, codes, materials, etc.
• High level technical skills and experience in Construction Document (Drawing & Specification) preparation
• Experience in full cycle Construction Administration on multiple projects
• Expert knowledge of industry standards and resources
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
• Revit skills required
• Professional registration considered a plus
• LEED and WELL accreditation considered a plus
