UBT is looking for a full-time Registered Architect(Commercial Construction), to join our dynamic A/E team!
Job Summary: As a Registered Architect in commercial construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the architectural aspects of commercial building projects. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project meets design specifications, budget constraints, and local building codes, while adhering to all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements, budget, and goals.
Assist in feasibility studies.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Design Development:
Prepare detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications and present design concepts to clients and obtain their feedback and approval.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
Contractor Collaboration:
Collaborate with construction contractors to provide architectural guidance during construction.
Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
Budget Management:
Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
Prepare cost estimates for architectural components of the project.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that the project meets high-quality architectural standards.
Conduct quality inspections and resolve any architectural issues that arise during construction.
Documentation:
Maintain thorough project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
Prepare and submit project closeout documentation to clients.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
Must hold a valid state licensure as a registered architect
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial construction and architectural design.
Experience working on federal projects, preferably in military space.
Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
