The Architecture team works closely with the Project Management and Estimating teams to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery. Responsibilities
The Project Designer may serve as the design leader on small projects or work in a team under the direction of a Project Architect or Senior Project Architect on a larger project.
In conjunction with the Project Architect or Senior Project Architect, consult with client to determine requirements of the project, develop studies or reports and propose solutions.
Works with the project team and contributes to the development of design concepts for design projects of all types and scales.
Implements the building program, and prepares project documentation appropriate for each phase.
Prepares presentation materials to communicate design ideas to the client, including meeting agendas and minutes.
Researches manufacturers’ materials and systems.
Understands the technical implications of design decisions and contributes to the development and documentation of details
Represents the firm well in project meetings and industry events and begins to build a professional network of clients, consultants, and peers
Contribute to the development of design concepts for design projects of all types and scales.
Utilize freehand sketching, computer, and graphic resources to effectively analyze and convey design concepts or solutions.
Review and coordinate consultant work.
Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with the contract documents
Maintain ongoing utilization of office standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
License is not required but a plus
5-8+ years of experience in a similar role
Understanding of building code and ability to perform code studies
Understanding of land use regulations and ability to perform zoning code studies
Extensive knowledge of the architectural design process
Familiarity with various types of construction
Proficiency in construction detailing
Advanced proficiency in Revit
Proficiency in Enscape or another rendering software, AutoCad, Adobe/Bluebeam, and Microsoft software
Strong communication, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
