POSITION SUMMARY 

The Design Architect will work with the Principal, Senior Designers, Lead Designers, and Project Managers to oversee and execute the architectural aspects of the interior design process, from concept to completion. They will communicate with the team to ensure that designs align with client specifications, budgets, and timelines. The Design Architect will create and update drawing sets throughout the life of the project. Additionally, they will coordinate design elements with architectural models and check for consistency between schedules, specifications, and drawings. Common project elements included in the drawing sets are cabinetry, tile specifications, plumbing and appliance layouts, hardware and accessory selections, built-ins, decorative lighting, custom lighting, furniture, custom furniture, and interior finish details.

Responsibilities tasks and duties

To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform these essential duties satisfactorily:

• Project management and coordination with builder, architect, subcontractors, and vendors
• Manage timelines for Multiple projects simultaneous
• Redline and give feedback on architectural elements
• Review shop drawings
• On-site coordination
• Create full detailed interior drawing sets; coordinate design elements and check for consistency between schedules, specs, and drawings.
• Create Working drawings / Construction drawings
• Model / drawing updates based on client feedback
• Site visits; including site survey / as-built measurement and construction administration
• Provide support and guidance to design team, to assist with above tasks
• Client meeting support
• Concept sourcing
• Material/finish organization
• Design multiple options for casework and furniture
• Create renderings
• Execute project actuals in coordination with the architect and builder.
• Owning drawing sets for individual projects
• Work on multiple projects and within set deadlines, budgets and profitability margins

Experience and Education Requirements

• Minimum 4-year Bachelor Degree, Interior Design or Architecture
• Minimum 4-years of post-graduate experience
• Experience with Revit, AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Studio Designer
