Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working primarily in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, and India.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will oversee the work of architectural sub-contractors, writing and reviewing scopes of work, and reviewing and approving bids for supplying and installing architectural material and scope. You will also have opportunities to plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project’s architectural aspects. This position is expected to be on the construction site in New Albany, Ohio. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews architectural work on various sized projects or assignments in?support of a global business unit?. Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of personnel? 
• Supports preparation of estimates, staffing needs and schedules? 
• Prepares discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project?scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting? 
• Develops conceptual designs for architectural projects or projects having specialized or unique?architectural requirements? 
• Reviews and approves quotes and bids from sub-contractors? 
• Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data? 
• Coordinates with client representatives to obtain their approval of architectural aspects of?the work? 
• Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications,?drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned? 
• Mentors architectural personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development? 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires a degree in Architecture and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience?
• Preferred but not required: a license to practice architecture from a recognized licensing board
