Hall Darling Design Studio is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Project Architect to join our small but mighty Sarasota team. We’re a collaborative, design-driven studio that values thoughtful architecture, teamwork, and a healthy work-life balance.
This role is ideal for an experienced architectural professional with 8+ years of experience who can confidently manage projects from concept through construction. You’ll lead design and production teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure that each project reflects our commitment to quality and craft. Our work includes a mix of civic, commercial, residential, and institutional projects with historic preservation and adaptive reuse forming a meaningful part of our practice.
Responsibilities
Manage projects through all phases of design and construction.
Lead and mentor team members in design development and documentation.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure clear communication and project success.
Oversee the production of design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Conduct site visits, review submittals, and manage RFIs during construction.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Uphold studio standards for design quality, accuracy, and collaboration.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent).
8+ years of professional architectural experience with demonstrated project management and coordination skills.
Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and detailing.
Experience with client communication, consultant coordination, and construction administration.
Excellent organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes.
Interest or experience in historic preservation and adaptive reuse is a plus.
