The City of Charleston is looking for a Director of Preservation and Urban Design to join our team! The Director of Preservation and Urban Design plays a key role in shaping the built environment throughout the city. Their duties include ensuring the historic preservation within the City and managing processes that regulate architectural design, site design, signage, and requests for demolition.   The Director of Preservation and Urban Design serves as the Preservation Officer and City Architect and manages the operations of the Preservation and Urban Design Division within the Department of Planning, Preservation and Sustainability.
