General Statement of Duties This employee reviews plans submitted by contractors, developers, architects, engineers, the general public and other persons to ensure the adherence of the specified project to state and local building codes. Employee ensures compliance with fire safety and life safety guidelines and standards; provides technical direction to architects, engineers, attorneys, homeowners, and appraisers seeking preliminary design review, permit application review, or general building information.
