East Bay-based residential DesignBuild Company is seeking
a residential designer. Casual office environment

Roles and Responsibilities

• Residential Designer able to manage 3-5 projects concurrently
• Prepare permit sets and construction documents for production
• Keep track of project budgets and update construction contracts
• Meet with potential clients and prepare estimates

Qualifications

• License/degree or certified in Interior Design
• Five years of experience as a designer primarily on single-family residential projects
• Experience working in a Design + Build environment
• Highly proficient with CAD or Sketch up Pro.
• Highly knowledgeable about fixtures and finishes for kitchens and bathrooms? Strong aesthetic sense for helping clients select the finishes for their remodeling projects
• Strong working knowledge of California building codes, Title 24 and municipal codes
• Basic understanding of construction practices and construction administration.  The ideal candidate will also have these skills
• Well organized with good attention to details and accuracy
• Highly Proficient at project management.
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to communicate effectively in person and in writing
• Works effectively with a variety of personality types
• Basic Excel and Word skills
• Photoshop a plus
• Vehicle Compensation for visits to clients and vendors
• Hourly wage will be based on the applicant’s qualifications and experience 
• Full-time Monday through Friday

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 2 years (Preferred)
• Interior Design: 5 years (Preferred)
