Little, a renowned design firm is seeking a Design Principal to champion design excellence and advance the vision of our Healthcare Practice. Located in our Charlotte office, this role will serve our Healthcare Studios and influence the quality, culture, and impact of our healthcare work.
Our mission is to collaborate with clients, patients, and care providers to shape hopeful, healing, and healthy environments. We view healthcare design as a calling, one that carries both privilege and responsibility. We are seeking a design leader who is deeply passionate about this work and motivated by the opportunity to impact lives through the built environment.
In our Healthcare Practice, the Design Principal plays a pivotal role in continually raising the bar on the quality and measurable impact of our work through positive leadership, a collaborative working style, and deep design expertise. As Design Principal, you will be the design leader who pushes our work further, shaping project and master planning for acute care, ambulatory and outpatient environments that perform brilliantly for patients, families, clinicians, and communities. You will mentor and develop the team in design methodology and process. You’re driven to improve the lives of those you serve and energized by the chance to translate complex clinical goals into clear design strategies and aspirational built outcomes. Partnering with a transdisciplinary team, you’ll listen intently, ask insightful questions, surface and frame the real challenges, generate and test ideas, and guide teams toward solutions that measurably advance your clients’ strategic and operational goals. We seek to truly integrate and become a multidisciplinary studio with Architecture and Interior Architecture, to blur the line of where architecture ends and interior design begins.

Continuous Learner. An individual who has knowledge of the latest design trends, discourse, and technologies including working knowledge of the latest design software and techniques.
Culture Builder. Someone who knows how to have fun, will be joyful to work with and who seeks positive meaningful impacts on others.
A position you’ll love:
Elevating Performance. A rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference leading design in our Charlotte Office, partnering with our leaders, project teams and clients.
Contributing to Strategic Growth. Reputable track record of building and sustaining relationships with client executives and developing and winning business opportunities
Achieving Visibility. Exposure to thought leadership opportunities that uncover breakthrough ideas
